These terms cover your use of this website and the client portal operated by William R. Bloomer, CPA. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The Site Is General Information
The pages on this site, including the Updates, are general information about tax and accounting topics as of the date they were written. They are not advice for your situation. Tax law changes, and how it applies depends on your facts. Do not act on anything here without talking it through with a qualified professional.
No Client Relationship Until Agreed
Reading this site, sending a message through the contact form, or calling the office does not make you a client. A client relationship begins only when William R. Bloomer agrees to take on the work and the terms of the engagement are agreed. Until then, please do not send confidential information.
The Contact Form
Use the contact form to describe your situation in general terms. Do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, tax documents or other sensitive details. Sending a message does not guarantee a response by any particular time, and it does not stop any tax deadline from running.
The Client Portal
Portal accounts are provided by invitation to clients of the firm. If you have an account:
- Keep your sign-in details private and do not share your account.
- Upload only documents that relate to the work the firm is doing for you.
- Tell the office right away if you think someone else has used your account.
The firm may suspend or close a portal account to protect client information, when an engagement ends, or if these terms are not followed.
Acceptable Use
Do not use the site to break the law, to send spam or harmful code, to try to get into accounts or areas you are not authorized to use, or to interfere with how the site works.
Ownership of Content
The text, logo and design of this site belong to William R. Bloomer, CPA. You may read and share pages for personal or business reference, with credit, but may not copy them for commercial use without permission.
Links to Other Sites
The site may link to government agencies and other outside websites. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
No Warranty
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be error free, current or uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, William R. Bloomer, CPA is not liable for any loss that results from using this site or relying on its general information. This does not limit the firm's responsibilities under a signed engagement with a client.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.
Changes to These Terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. See also the Privacy Policy.
